Kenny Boynton will go from American Heritage to the University of Florida

Congratulations go out to American Heritage Senior Kenny Boynton as he announced his college choice last night to a nationwide audience that was watching on ESPNU. Kenny becomes the second Heritage player to commit to a Division 1 basketball program in the last four days, joining teammate Raymond Taylor, who committed to FAU earlier in the week. The decision by Kenny ends months and months of speculation as to where he will be attending school, and Kenny became one of the most sought after recruits in the country. Kenny - and his family - handled this decision well and were able to prioritize what he was looking for in a college, and decided that Coach Billy Donovan and the Gators were the best fit for him. Kenny also becomes the second Heritage player in two years to commit to the Gators, following Eloy Vargas up I-75 to Gainesville. I am happy for KB and his family, and look forward to a great senior season for him. He is a special young man. Well done, Junior.

American Heritage's Raymond Taylor commits to FAU

Congratulations to American Heritage School's senior point guard Raymond Taylor, as he has accepted a scholarship offer from Florida Atlantic University. Raymond - who is the quickest guard in the state of Florida - is excited to bring his skill set to the Boca Raton campus as the next PG for Coach Mike Jarvis.
I would like to personally congratulate Raymond and his mom on a terrific accomplishment. Any time a student athlete is offered a scholarship it is a rarity (less than 2% of all varsity basketball players get that opportunity), and Raymond is living proof that "it is not the size of the dog in the fight, but it is the size of the fight in the dog" that matters. Congrats, Raymond - I am proud of you.
